The Asia Europe Journal (AEJ) is the quarterly academic journal by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) The Journal is devoted to publishing interdisciplinary and intercultural studies and research between Asia and Europe in the social sciences and humanities. Fields of interest include various aspects of bilateral relationships, comparative studies as well as Asian area studies from an European perspective and vice versa. Each volume is intended to focus on one major subject such as security, historical experiences, cultural perceptions, civic rights, gender issues, regional integration, development, media or other areas of bi-regional interest.
Interested in contributing an article?
Articles should be written in English and be preceded by a short abstract (ca. 7000 words). We only take previously unpublished manuscripts into consideration. All articles are refereed in a double-blind peer process. Upon publication, ASEF grants a honorarium of 300 Euro.
All authors are entitled to one complimentary copy and 30 offprints of their article. Papers are first published online at website of our publishing partner Springer. AEJ authors are presented with a short biography in the respective issues. In addition, the AEJ website includes a section called "Authors' Corner" where each author is invited to present his/her academic background and research focus.
